It was an action-packed week in Berlin for ACARE as we advanced key initiatives to build a more resilient, sovereign and competitive aviation sector:
- General Assembly at AXICA, Berlin: We successfully hosted our GA, marking a significant leadership handover. A huge thank you to Bart de Vries for his incredible dedication and leadership since 2019, and a warm welcome to Michael Grootenboer (SVP Procurement at Air France-KLM) as he steps into the Chair Team representing operators! The GA also pushed forward our upcoming work on sector resilience, highlighting air mobility as a service and supply chains.
- Driving the "Aviation Moonshot" at ILA Berlin: The ACARE EEP Board teamed up with the European Commission for an impactful public panel session. Together, we presented our latest position paper "Safeguarding Europe's competitive edge in global aviation", aligned sector priorities, and mapped out the next steps toward the future European aeronautics strategy.
The momentum toward a sustainable and innovative aviation ecosystem is stronger than ever. Thank you to our members, the European Commission, and all partners for a fantastic week of collaboration!
