2020:
A methodology for the fair and unbiased assessment of the different modes of transport concerning their environmental impact (noise, pollution, energy used, source of energy, land use requirements etc.) is adopted, requirement for a common approach for all transport modes is understood and accepted by rule makers
Critical Travel data and content (timetables, fares, availability…) from Top 10 Air, Rail and Airport European (or coverage of at least 60% traffic serviced by each transport segment) providers can be accessed to build intermodal itineraries matching relevant customer request
A methodology common to Air/Rail/Airport is defined in order to rank and sort customer request in accordance with 3 criteria (total trip cost, total environmental impact, total travel duration,)
2035:
The methodology for the fair and unbiased assessment of the different modes of transport concerning their environmental impact (noise, pollution, energy used, source of energy, land use requirements etc.) has been refined based on latest research results
Environmental impact can be assessed for each individual journey taking into account the properties of the proposed transportation modes for that particular journey
Critical travel data and content (timetables, fares, availability…) from top 30 Air, Rail and Airport European providers (or coverage of at least 80% traffic serviced by each transport segment) and relevant Local Transportation private and public companies (at least Top 5 in each European country) can be accessed to build intermodal itineraries matching relevant customer request
A methodology common to Air/Rail/Airport and local public/private transportation companies is defined in order to rank and sort customer request in accordance with 4 relevant criteria (total trip cost, environmental impact, travel duration, connections)
2050:
